01

Find the database

Open Settings for storage guidance. The default database lives in your macOS Application Support directory under the SnippetVault identifier.

02

Recover from a backup

In Settings, choose Restore a backup, review its record counts, then merge or create a safety backup and replace.

03

Quick access is unavailable

Open Settings → Keyboard. Restore Option-Space or choose another modified shortcut if macOS reports a conflict.

04

Report a problem

Include the SnippetVault version, macOS version, what you expected, and what happened. Never include real snippets, backups, clipboard records, or secrets.

Direct support will open alongside public downloads.

Before troubleshooting

Export or create a backup before making changes to local data. If something goes wrong, note what you were doing and any message you saw, without sharing private content.

Security reports

Report suspected vulnerabilities privately. Include the affected version and a minimal reproduction, but never include real user data.

Private security reporting will open alongside public downloads.
